Most Network Marketing Training is Crap

network marketing trainingIf finding network marketing training is your goal, I commend you. And with that, it reminds me of the biggest challenge you face in terms of discovering and benefiting from the BEST network marketing training…

information overload!

Yep, if you want training on how to build your MLM opportunity, you can find advice with each search of Google, post on Facebook, the latest and “greatest” Tweet and at your company’s next big function.

MLM training and information is everywhere!

The question, then, is how do you boil all this mumbo jumbo down into a clear, concise action plan that you can understand, and better yet, put into motion in such a way as to consistently build a large network marketing downline that produces a true, walk-away residual income for you?

Isn’t that what you’re really looking for? Is it just ANY network marketing training you want or the type of training that takes you step-by-step through the minefield of offline and online marketing and shows you precisely what TO do and precisely what NOT to do?

If so, keep reading…

Filtering Which Network Marketing Training to Listen to…

Should you listen to the network marketing training ideas I can provide you? Great question…and one that must be brought up.

The training recommendations I’m going to bring you are the only ones that have resulted in taking me from MLM “newbie” to attaining a crucial Leadership Position within my primary network marketing company called Platinum that has provided my family and I a true walk-away residual income.

This means I never need to recruit one more person in order to receive my passive income check each month. I bring this up not to brag but make a distinction for you…

In the “business” of MLM training, there are “gurus” teaching all types of tips, techniques and “secrets” that are supposed to take you into superstardom inside your MLM pursuits. The challenge here is that you don’t truly understand how many of these “gurus” have NEVER built a downline in a real network marketing company’s opportunity and developed a true, walk-away residual income by actually been an MLM rep.

Instead, they’re master INTERNET marketers who have successfully sold you a bunch of books, cd’s, packages, promises, etc through master copywriting skills on their fancy web sites.

Sound familiar?

Again, I’m not tooting my own horn here. I’m simply pointing out that you should pay close attention to who you listen to. Are you looking for info on how to market products online or are you looking for specific network marketing training that helps you build a successful MLM dowline organization?

BIG difference there! Furthermore, do you want to learn MLM “tips and secrets” from a “guru” who can sell fancy online products or from people who (not just me!) have actually developed what YOU want: a sustainable walk-away RESIDUAL MLM monthly check…

Different Kinds of Network Marketing Training

Now that we have all that out of the way, let’s get into the specific types of MLM training you can tap into.

First of all, you’ve got what we call OFFLINE training and education. This means you don’t need to know anything at all about the Internet: how to Tweet, how to post the “magic” Facebook post, how to “blog”, how to set up capture pages, how to do PPC, how to operate an autoresponder (a what?!), how to create Youtube videos, etc.

Instead, you’re taught the “old school” approach:

  1. Get a Prospect: write a list of the top 100-500 people you know
  2. Share the Plan: introduce them to your products/opportunity
  3. Get them to a local opportunity meeting or 3 way call with your sponsor
  4. Answer questions, overcome objections and close into your business

I used the term “old school” above. You may think that because you’re reading my words online on my blog that I’m going to tell you to avoid “old school” methods at all costs.

Wrong! I’m going to tell you that even in the 21st Century, these techniques and strategies flat out work. This is a relationship business. You must build relationships with people as you work to bring leaders into your organization.

This is the best and easiest way to get your MLM building off to a fast start. Have I recruited folks into my primary opportunity this way. You bet! Do I teach my new people to run with this “method”? You bet!

Do I have ideas, tips, strategies and techniques that can help you make your offline efforts at recruiting go much more smoothly? Yes, I do…

“New Wave” of Network Marketing Training

Ah, yes…what everyone’s talking about these days: using the Internet to “supercharge” your recruiting efforts.

Does it work? Hell yeah it works!

Is it perfect? Hell, no!

What do I mean by that? First of all, there’s a learning curve to using online methods to build an MLM downline organization. There are specific strategies that work better than others. There are specific steps to take. You need to know this information and the sooner you learn it, the better off, happier and wealthier you’ll become.

I’d been online marketing various websites, products and services for 5 years before I started using the Internet to recruit folks into my network marketing opportunity. And, I STILL made a ton of mistakes, had to test different offers, blow through cash trying different techniques, etc.

So, if you’re completely new to using the Internet for network marketing, I highly encourage you to listen to someone who has actually used it to recruit people into a real MLM opportunity. I’ll say it again: be careful of listening to online marketers who have NEVER built an MLM downline in a real MLM company!

Once you know what you’re doing, does online marketing work to build a network marketing downline that results in a true, walk-away residual monthly check? YES. Have I done it? Yes. Can I teach you how to do it? Yes.

Network Marketing Training Bottom Line…

As I’ve explained, there is specific network marketing training that works and there is specific training that doesn’t work well.

The biggest warning I’ll give you is to watch out for network marketing training that leads you into Information Overload, gets you off on tangents that have nothing to do with recruiting people into a network marketing opportunity and ends up burning you out and feeling as though you were taken advantage of by slick marketing experts.

The best place to end up with this result is to play around on the Internet, trying to find out how to build your MLM opportunity “fast, easy and with no work”.

Stop looking for that because it does NOT exist.  If you’re looking for simple, easily implemented strategies…both online and offline…AND you’re willing to put time and effort to make them work for you and your team, then click the link at the bottom of this article and begin learning what it is I can help you with regarding optimum network marketing training.

This is a great article! When I first got started in network marketing I bought so many ridiculous “shiny objects” looking for the answer to success. The main message I think you are giving is “focus” and you will easily avoid information overload.

Thanks for sharing Matt in such a down to earth way!
