Once you learn this concept of “Acting AS IF”, it’s amazing how becoming a successful entrepreneur becomes much easier. Start learning…”

If you dream of building your business to great heights, then I encourage you to focus all your attention on how you think and how you LOOK at things. In the E-Myth Revisited, Michael Gerber helps us through his story about Tom Watson, IBM’s founder.
The 3 big factors we learned that will help you create successful businesses are:
- Obtain a clear picture or model of what your business will look like once you have it all set up and running perfectly
- Obtain a clear picture of how you and your business will ACT once it’s all set up and running perfectly
- Act like that starting TODAY!
Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur Begins With Acting Like One Now
If you dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur, then it’s vital you attract that into your life by removing your current bad habits and start ACTING as you would if you were already that successful person. However you define success, act as if you are that success right now.
One of the things that will help you with that is to first clearly define your chief aim in life. Take the time to sit down and write out your game plan in life overall first. Why are you here? Why were you born? That kind of stuff…pretty deep, huh? But, vitally important to your life and your success!
If you struggle with this, try going back to Napoleon Hill, Week 1 and going through the exercise I give you that takes you step-by-step through this process of defining your chief aim in life. Or, you may want to take a run through Life Purpose University.
Once you know why YOU THE PERSON are here and where you’re going, you can then logically begin to map out why YOUR BUSINESS is here and where it’s going. Understanding all that is key to being able to follow the advice of “acting as if”.
Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur Requires Top-Notch Leadership Skills
Never underestimate the need for leadership skills when you’re working on building your business. I encourage you to focus much of your time on understanding what it takes to become a great leader. Read leadership books, like those written by John Maxwell. Invest time listening to audios that input leadership skills into your mind.
As Jim Rohn said, “Invest more time in yourself than in your business”
When you boil it all down, your business IS you. If you lack leadership skills, or worse, you lack self esteem, then how can you reasonably expect great results as you work hard on becoming a successful entrepreneur? Especially in the beginning, you need to have people become sold on “you”. Therefore, your view of “YOU” must be top-notch!
Once you have healthy self esteem, it’s then all about how you treat others. It’s all about whether you put the goals of your associates above yourself. It’s all about what you’re willing to sacrifice in your own life in order to help others achieve their dreams.
If you simply focus on helping others, becoming a great leader, envisioning your perfect business, and “acting as if” you are the perfect entrepreneur, then you’ll become your definition of success. Sure, you’ll never actually be perfect and you’ll make plenty of mistake along the way.
However, by working from this paradigm, your authenticity and passion will shine through…which will attract into your life the perfect people to help you in your dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Go for it!
By the way, if your niche is MLM, be sure you’re using an effective network marketing system in your business because when you combine true entrepreneurial skills with a really good MLM system, you’ll find that your road to success is that much easier.
